I officially registered today for my first Olympic Distance triathlon :) That means I have to work my way up to swimming .9 miles, biking 24 miles and then running 6.2 miles. I think I am up for the challenge. I hope to get a few shorter Sprint Distance races in before this race on Sunday June 28th. Ocean swims will be key this spring/summer too! I hope Kacy will be along for the 'float' :) Put it on your schedule now so you can join me, or come be a spectator!

P.S. I'm planning on doing SheROX - the all-women's triathlon this year too - that's on Aug 2nd.

Love your blog! I tried a triathlon once and didn't survive the swim, but I'd like to try it again! Check out my blog...there's a surprise for you :)
Go you!! MAYBE (and that is a highly stressed maybe) I'll try for the one in August... I'll have a couple months to whip my body back into shape by then lol. I fully expect us taking a trip to Hawaii for an Ironman in the future (don't worry I'll be there for support!!)
well Jam, if you decide to do it, you know you will have at least 2 people to do it with you :) and . . . a new supporter in baby 'f'
:) So exciting! Is the August SheROX the one in Miami?
I wish I weren't terrified of swimming, and had a bike ha! My co-worker just flew down to FL last weekend for her first Ironman... she was sick with a cold and hardly was able to eat but still finished in 12 hours, 11 minutes. She is insane lol She said she started with Tris and did a bunch of Olympic distance, then half-Ironmans. Half a day of exercise, hmm lol
Love ya!
