Politics and Presidential Elections . . .

. . . can cause you to lose sleep, literally. Apparently here in Philadelphia winning a World Series isn't the only cause for unnecessary mass-marching, yelling, screaming and horn-blowing. You see, I live on the main street here in Philadelphia and on the evening of the World Series win we literally saw tens of thousands of people marching/running/stumbling down the street towards City Hall from our 9th floor window. Unfortunately for us, the entire city decided to repeat last Wednesdays performance after Obama was officially declared President. Don't get me wrong, I am excited for the results of the election, but not when it comes at the price of me not being able to get peace and quiet until after 1am . . . on a 'work' night! Needless to say, I was pretty beat on Wednesday - enough to skip my usual workout after work. Oh well, that is my rant for today - I've moved on and have been working on catching up on sleep :)

I totally agree with you! It was bad enough I had to deal with all the noise when the Phils won the WS, but Tuesday night was like deja vu!
